Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new quality control chart for the sample mean based on the folded ranked set sampling (FRSS) method. The new charts are compared with the classical control charts using simple random sampling (SRS) and ranked set sampling (RSS). A simulation study shows that the FRSS control charts have smaller average run length (ARL) compared with their counterpart charts using SRS and RSS.
